Our Story

A Foundation Born From Community Need

SRF was founded in 2020 in Yola, Adamawa State, by a small group of local humanitarian workers who saw first-hand the gap between the scale of need created by conflict and displacement in Northeast Nigeria, and the support reaching the communities living through it.

What began as a single clean-water intervention in Hong LGA has grown into eight interconnected programmes spanning health, protection, education, nutrition, WASH, livelihood, peacebuilding and youth development — delivered in partnership with UNICEF, UNDP and the Adamawa State Government.

Registered NGONon-governmental, non-political and non-profit, registered and headquartered in Yola, Adamawa State.

2021First WASH interventions begin in Hong & Gombi LGAs.

2023Peacebuilding programme launches in Lamurde & Guyuk with UNDP.

2025Partnership with UNICEF expands child protection and health services.

ST Solomon Tashara Executive Director

Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for SRF, and serves as the primary liaison with government agencies, donors and the Board of Directors.

YB Yusuf Bello Director of Programs

Oversees the design, execution and monitoring of SRF's project portfolio across WASH, health and nutrition, protection, education, livelihood and early recovery.

HM Hauwa Mohammed Director of MEL

Leads the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems that measure the effectiveness and impact of every programme.

IS Ibrahim Sani Director of Finance & Administration

Manages SRF's financial framework — budgeting, forecasting, reporting and expenditure monitoring — in line with global financial standards.

FB Fatima Bulus Director of ICT, Communications & Partnerships

Manages external communications, advocacy and strategic partnerships with government, donors and civil society.

MD Musa Danladi Director of Operations & Logistics

Oversees logistical planning and coordination across SRF's local and regional field offices.
